1) Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our websites (including index.html, about.html,
chapters.html, archivechapters.html, bookpublications.html,
submitchapters.html, contact.html, privacy-policy.html, and this
terms-of-service.html) and by submitting any content, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not use the sites or submit content.
2) Who We Are
Jupiter Publications Consortium (JPC) operates the editorial activities, including calls
for chapters, peer review, and publishing workflows. Magestic Technology Solutions (P) Ltd (MTSPL)
provides technology and infrastructure services supporting the platform. Together, they are referred to as
“we”, “us”, or “our” in these Terms.
3) Eligibility & Accounts
- Use of the sites is intended for higher-education and professional users who can lawfully enter into binding agreements.
- You are responsible for safeguarding any credentials associated with your use (where accounts are provided) and for all activities that occur under those credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it when necessary.
4) Permitted Use & Prohibited Conduct
- Use the sites only for lawful purposes and in accordance with editorial guidelines and policies we publish or communicate.
- Do not upload, transmit, or distribute malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
- Do not submit or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, infringing, or that violates privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
- Automated scraping, harvesting, or bulk extraction of content is prohibited unless explicitly authorized in writing.
5) Author Submissions & Responsibilities
- You represent and warrant that you have the rights to submit your manuscript and related materials and that they are original, properly attributed, and free from undisclosed conflicts of interest.
- Where applicable, you must obtain and document permissions for third-party material (figures, tables, images, datasets, code) and clearly indicate licensing or restrictions.
- You are responsible for compliance with ethical standards, including (where relevant) human and animal research approvals, data protection obligations, and consent for personal data.
- Submission via submitchapters.html typically launches your email client (mailto). You are responsible for attaching files and verifying that your submission has been successfully sent.
6) License You Grant to Us
For the purposes of editorial evaluation, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to
use, reproduce, distribute to editors and reviewers, and display your submitted materials in connection with
peer review, editorial decision-making, and production planning.
Any publication, distribution, or licensing of accepted content will be governed by a separate
publishing agreement or license terms communicated at acceptance (e.g., print rights, open-access licenses,
or other formats).
7) Editorial Review & Decisions
- Submissions may undergo editorial checks, similarity checks, and peer review as determined by the editorial team.
- We may request revisions, decline, or accept submissions at our sole editorial discretion.
- Indicative timeframes for review and production are subject to change; most communications are handled via email.
- We may edit accepted material for style, clarity, formatting, and house style, without altering its core scholarly meaning.
8) Fees, Payments & Refunds
- Where stated on the site or in official communication, a processing fee may apply (for example, INR 3000 per chapter, up to four authors). Any such fee schedule is subject to change.
- Fees, when applicable, cover processing and associated services and do not guarantee acceptance of the submission.
- Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing, processing fees are non-refundable once editorial review has commenced.
- Any additional charges (e.g., optional print copies, certificates, or shipping) will be communicated separately with applicable terms.
9) Intellectual Property
- Site content (including design, layout, branding, logos, and non-user text) is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
- You retain ownership of your submissions, subject to the limited license described in Section 6 and any separate publishing agreement that may be executed upon acceptance.
- You agree not to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from site content except as expressly allowed by law or our written permission.
10) Privacy
Your use of the sites is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains
how we collect, use, and protect personal information. Mailto-based forms open your own email client and send
information directly from you to our inboxes, where it is processed in accordance with that policy.
11) Disclaimers & Warranties
- The sites and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We do not warrant that the sites will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
12) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special,
consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or
related to your use of the sites or submission processes.
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the sites or these Terms
shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the event
giving rise to the claim.
13) Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless JPC and MTSPL, and our respective officers, employees,
editors, and agents, from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including
reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your submissions or contributions;
- Your use or misuse of the sites;
- Your breach of these Terms or any applicable law; or
- Your infringement of any third-party rights.
14) Copyright & Takedown
If you believe that content on our sites infringes your copyright or other rights, please contact us with
sufficient detail to evaluate your claim, including:
- Your contact information;
- A description of the protected work you believe has been infringed;
- The URL or location of the allegedly infringing material; and
- A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized, and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

15) Third-Party Links & Services
Our sites may contain links to third-party websites, services, or tools (such as payment gateways, analytics,
or external publishing portals). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those
third parties, and your use of them is at your own risk.
16) Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to all or part of the sites, or to particular submission processes, at any
time where we believe it is necessary to:
- Address suspected or actual violations of these Terms;
- Comply with legal obligations or requests from competent authorities; or
- Protect users, data, or the integrity of our services.
Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 6 and 8–13) will remain
in effect.
17) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, shall have exclusive
jurisdiction over any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the sites, without
regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Before filing any formal legal action, the parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the matter by
contacting the email addresses provided in Section 20.
18) Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page indicates the
latest revision. Material changes may be highlighted on the site or communicated through appropriate channels.
Your continued use of the sites after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
19) General
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our rights under that or any other provision.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control (including, but not limited to, natural disasters, strikes, or disruptions of infrastructure).
- Entire Agreement: These Terms and any referenced policies (including the Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement for site use and do not override any separate publishing agreements executed for accepted works.
- Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
- Headings: Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
